New Law in NYC: Employers Can’t Ask Salary History of Job Applicants
Details on Executive Order 21, also know as #EqualPayNYC Effective 10/31/17, employers in NYC are prohibited from asking job candidates about their salary history during the hiring process. Candidates may still offer their salary history if they wish, as long as they were not prompted to do so. This is an amendment to the NYC Human Rights End excerpt
