Tom Bedard

Tom Bedard founded FosterThomas in 1993. Originally known as Benco, Tom grew the firm into a leading employee benefits brokerage and advisory firm servicing the Washington, DC region and beyond. In 1993, he identified a need in the market, renamed the company FosterThomas, and initiated an expansion into the Human Resources and Human Capital Management spaces. Tom led and grew FosterThomas successfully until his passing in March of 2025. He is deeply missed. We at FosterThomas continue to carry his legacy forward, operating with the drive and core values that he left with us.
