For 2013, the health savings accounts (HSAs) contributions will be increasing from $3,100 to $3,250 for individuals and $6,250 to $6,450 for families.  In conjunction with the contribution increase comes a deductible increase in high-deductible health plans (HDHPs) carriers.  Since these go hand and hand, the increase in out of pocket expenses for HDHPs is inevitable.  As of the date of this blog post, insurance carriers have not released the “new” deductibles, but they have been proposed.  Insurance carriers will have to comply with the IRS regulations.
