For 2013, the¬†health savings accounts (HSAs)¬†contributions will be increasing from $3,100 to $3,250 for individuals and $6,250 to $6,450 for families.¬† In conjunction with the contribution increase comes a deductible increase in¬†high-deductible health plans (HDHPs)¬†carriers.¬† Since these go hand and hand, the increase in out of pocket expenses for HDHPs is inevitable. ¬†As of the date of this blog post, insurance carriers have not released the ‚Äúnew‚ÄĚ deductibles, but they have been¬†proposed. ¬†Insurance carriers will have to comply with the¬†IRS regulations.
